Consultus shortlisted for leading energy award

The Consultus International Group has been shortlisted for The Energy Awards 2018 – ‘Rewarding Excellence in the Energy Business’ – which take place at the London Hilton, Park Lane on 5th December.

The company has been shortlisted in the category Third Party Intermediary of the Year (Broker) – Over 50 employees. The awards submission focused on ‘delivering for customers’ and ‘openness and transparency’, with the latter acknowledged publicly during 2018 in a Cornwall Insights report. The Energy Awards 2018 ceremony will bring together more than 500 energy heavyweights to recognise and celebrate the year’s best achievements in the industry.

Delivering for customers

The submission states that Consultus is “recognised as an independent world-class consulting and services business: a partner that consistency exceeds client expectations and outperforms the market in energy and utility procurement, energy management, demand reduction, risk and compliance.”

It continues, “The risk and buying strategies we provide mean that over the last decade and on behalf of our clients, Consultus has outperformed the energy market by 20-35%. Our ‘budget certain’ Capital at Risk strategy has delivered wholesale savings of 20% compared to the traditional fixed market for wholesale costs. Our market-leading fix/unfix model has provided savings in excess of 30% for the same period. Last year, our Bureau team processed more than 150,000 bills, and we recovered more than £1 million for clients.”

 ‘Openness and transparency’

The submission also highlighted the fact that Consultus clients appreciate the fact that it operates consistently fair and open practices with all energy suppliers. In addition, in reviews of TPIs, energy suppliers regularly agree that the fees charged by Consultus are among the lowest they see, charges are transparent and the company’s hedging performance is market leading. According to Cornwall Insights (2018), we are the industry’s only UK consultancy that is 100% transparent.
