Sentiment was mixed on both the NBP natural gas and UK wholesale power markets last week, as contracts due for winter delivery shed value whilst contracts further out on the curve increased in price. EDF announced that the faulty components that were being investigated at a host of their nuclear generation plants would not affect winter supply and that the problem does not require an immediate resolution.
