Customer MI Analyst

The team are responsible for ensuring our clients are provided with the most up to date and accurate data, ensuring world class reporting, which in turn enables them to make the best decisions possible.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of customer energy procurement reports; updating energy usage data, energy cost and budget information and ensuring the data required for all client facing reports is up to date and accurate.

Common Tasks:

The job holder will encompass the following;

  • Creation of customer Mark to Market (MtM) reports following handover of all information from the Flexible Procurement Team
  • Daily update of all customer reports within strict deadlines
  • Daily check to ensure all MtM Report pricing has imported correctly into myEnergy
  • Enter pricing details for gas and electricity procured by the client into reports
  • Investigate and resolve any reporting queries and Bureau Services rate queries
  • Ensure billing rates / DUoS rates / TUoS rates and all other variance associate to a fixed / flexible electricity supply contract are correct in the reports on an ongoing basis (quarterly)
  • Ensure billing rates/ metering and transportation charges are validated and updated on an ongoing basis (quarterly)
  • Ensure the handover of correct pricing information to Bureau Services
  • Update the customer’s energy usage data on a monthly basis
  • Removal of all customer disposed sites from reports
  • Addition of any new customer sites to reports
  • Validation of customer gas and power costs; includes the validation of Cost of Gas and Cost of Electricity reports from suppliers
  • Create Budget, Accrual and Reforecast reports in a timely manner
  • Any ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Assist with testing systems after updates or for any new processes and procedures created
  • Assist with Project Work
  • Assist with Bespoke Client reporting requirements
  • Assist with the development of the team, constantly looking for ways to improve processes and procedures
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of prices, third party charges and supplier products across all territories

Key Attributes, Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

 The jobholder is expected to have or be able to (or be working towards):

  • Knowledge of the Energy Industry
  • Intermediate use of Excel
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to spot patterns and more importantly breaks in patterns
  • Build relationships with other teams around the business
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision once training complete
  • Ask questions, be proactive and look to support the Customer MI Manager in building the team

 Measurable KPI’s:

The job holder will be assessed against the following KPI’s:

  • Timely and accurate creation of all Client reports
  • Timely resolution of queries
  • Timely and accurate updating of all Client reports (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • Timely and accurate entering of any Trades carried out by the Risk Team
  • Timely and accurate updating of systems
  • Meet deadlines for any Project Work involved in
  • Liaise with Consultants and Supports for confirmation of what is needed for any ad-hoc reports/budgets/accruals
  • Application of the Core Values and adherence to the Company Standards, Policies and Procedures
