Role Overview

As part of the Global Operations team, this role will suit a well-organized and enthusiastic person who can provide support, knowledge and system maintenance to our Flex and International procurement team; and, in particular, the bespoke products operated by the Senior Product Specialist.  You will be a good communicator and be able to build positive relationships with internal teams and suppliers.  In addition to working closely with the Senior Product Specialist, you will also have strong relationships with the Customer Services, Risk, Consultant and Bureau Services departments.  The role is varied and requires someone with a broad skill set; whether it is updating shield with contractual information, terminations, registrations & rejections, chasing suppliers, updating reports or assisting with portfolio management, you will play a key role in the department’s ability to hit internal and external KPI’s and SLA’s.

Common Tasks

  • Ensure all systems are updated with the relevant contractual information
  • Terminations, registrations, objections
  • Maintain Progress Chaser and other bespoke product trackers with up to date information
  • Co-ordinate action plan and diaries to ensure all tasks are carried out within SLAs
  • Assist with resolving supplier contractual queries through to resolution
  • Assisting with tenders as and when requested for new entities and site additions
  • Investigate and resolve any reporting or billing rate queries
  • Executing trades on behalf of the CBC
  • Enter trading details into the CBC strategy tracker reports
  • Creation and maintenance of customer Mark to Market (MtM) reports for the CBC
  • Validation of customer gas and power costs; includes the validation of Cost of Gas and Cost of Electricity reports from suppliers and billing rates/metering and transportation costs
  • Any ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Assist with the development of the team, constantly looking for ways to improve processes and procedures
  • Assist in implementation of Company policies and processes
  • Any other duties as advised by the line manager

Measurable KPI’s

  • Quality of interface with Suppliers and other team members internally
  • Application of the Core Values and adherence to the Company Standards, Policies and Procedures
  • Hitting of deadlines for SLAs for contracting, extending contracts, setting billing rates etc
  • Timely and accurate creation of all Client reports
  • Timely resolution of queries
  • Timely and accurate updating of all Client reports (daily/weekly/monthly)
  • Timely and accurate entering of any Trades carried out within team
  • Timely completion of Registration and Termination
  • Timely and accurate updating of company systems
  • Delivery of efficiency improvements

Key Skills

  • Organisation and time management
  • Intermediate use of Excel
  • Eye for detail
  • Knowledge of flexible products would be advantageous
  • Stakeholder management both internal and external
  • Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision once training complete
  • Ask questions; be proactive and look to support the Senior Product Specialist in developing the team and improving services
